Overview
Tracklet AI is built on a simple promise: your financial data is yours alone.
Tracklet AI is a fully offline application. It does not connect to any server, does not require an account, and does not transmit any data over the internet. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and where it is stored.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone)
- Financial account details or bank credentials
- Location data
- Device identifiers sent to external servers
- Analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry
- Voice recordings — audio is processed on-device only and immediately discarded
Data Stored on Your Device
All data you enter — expense amounts, categories, merchants, notes, and voice transcripts — is stored locally on your device in an encrypted SQLite database (SQLCipher). This data never leaves your device.
- Expense records (amount, category, date, merchant, notes)
- Category and payment method preferences
- A randomly generated device ID used only for local record-keeping (never transmitted)
- App preferences stored in local device storage
Microphone Access
Tracklet AI requests access to your device's microphone to enable voice expense entry.
- Microphone access is used only when you actively tap the voice button
- Audio is processed entirely on-device using the operating system's Speech-to-Text APIs
- No audio is recorded, saved, or transmitted to any server
- You may revoke microphone access at any time in your device Settings — the app will continue to function with manual entry only
Third-Party Services
Tracklet AI does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. No SDKs that collect data are included in the app.
Children's Privacy
Tracklet AI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. Since no data is collected at all, the app is safe for users of all ages.
Data Security
Your expense data is stored in an encrypted database on your device. Access is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (Face ID, PIN, fingerprint). We recommend keeping your device software up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.
Data Deletion
You can permanently delete all your data at any time from Settings → Clear All Data within the app. Alternatively, uninstalling the app will remove all associated data from your device.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
